Throughout his career, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Keoni Kealoha Alvarez has worked across professional television, documentary, film, and media productions. His experience includes serving on production crews, working as a producer and field producer, and creating films that have been broadcast through major television and public media networks.

Keoni’s professional experience includes work associated with PBS, FRONTLINE, CNN, the History Channel, MTV, Oceanic Cable, and other television and film productions. Firelight Media also documents his experience with the History Channel, MTV, Oceanic Cable sports programming, and international broadcast work with Norwegian Cruise Line.

His documentary KAPU: Sacred Hawaiian Burials has been broadcast by PBS Hawaiʻi, bringing the important story of Native Hawaiian burial protection to television audiences. Keoni also served as a Hawaiʻi Field Producer for FRONTLINE’s Maui’s Deadly Firestorm, which was produced for FRONTLINE/PBS in collaboration with CNN and received a 2025 News & Documentary Emmy Award.
